Rarely has a single human being caused such radical historical and far-reaching changes as Martin Luther did. Was it the message of the bible that Luther had discovered anew? The power of his language? Or was it his passionate temperament that made him fight for the new discovery? Or was he just the „right man at the right time“ whose doings were favoured by the numerous historical circumstances present then? In this newly designed exhibition the visitor will encounter the world of the late Middle Ages which will help him to find the answers to these questions.
